The roll call of latest recruits continues as VFC sign former Ifeanyi Ubah goalkeeper Edwin Nwakamma Emeka on a one-year deal.
The Lions of Naija saw off competition from a couple of NPFL clubs to sign the goalkeeper from Abia Warriors for an undisclosed fee.
Emeka is an experienced goalkeeper, who began his professional career with Gabros international in 2012. In 2016, he joined Ifeanyi Ubah and was a key member of the squad that won the 2016 F.A Cup.
He was also part of the Niger Tornadoes squad that got to the final of the same competition in 2017.
The former Kwara United goalkeeper is already proving to be a shrewd signing for VFC as he was spectacular during the 1-0 pre-season win over Remo Stars.
Emeka's style is also well suited to how coach Rafael Everton wants to play this season as he commands his area brilliantly and is a good distributor of the ball.
The Imo-born player is now set to provide competition for new recruit Segun Alabi and other goalkeepers as Vandrezzer look forward to an amazing campaign in the Nigeria National League (NNL).
Welcome Nwakamma 💪🏾
Vandrezzer FC...won't walk that road without you!
